Based at: Civic Office 2nd Floor, Waterdale, Doncaster
Salary details: Grade 3 £17,842 plus pay award

We are offering a 9-12 month work placement for a student to gain financial management skills and experience whilst working as part of a strong and supportive team. This will include working with budget holders and service managers, supporting specific project work and service reviews, dealing with the annual cycle of preparing and monitoring revenue and capital budgets, closing the accounts and ensuring savings targets are managed and achieved.
The placement is aimed at students in their second or third year who are required to take time out from their studies to gain the necessary relevant experience to support their course. Students will preferably be studying a finance based degree or relevant course e.g. economics, public services, finance and policy and have achieved a 2:1 or higher in their first year of study. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and ICT skills with the ability to establish positive relationships and communicate effectively.
